課程概述

Projects and products that could have been successful often fail because of the wrong assumption that project and product management is only breaking them into works, assigning them to individuals, and then waiting for the works to be done on time, within budget, and with expected specifications and customer satisfaction. It is generally difficult to successfully manage a project/product in terms of time, cost, and performance simultaneously. Therefore, it is important to understand how to manage projects and products.
The first part of this course introduces the concepts, techniques, theories, and applications of project and product management. Both organizational behavior issues and quantitative methods are included. In this course, three important aspects of project management are taught: 1. basic core of knowledge needed in project management for the entire project life cycle, 2. supporting functions for the entire project life cycle, and 3. hard core of project management in different phases of project life cycle.
The second part of this course first introduces the role of product management in different organization structures. The strategic elements of new product management and processes are also briefly introduced. Five important aspects of new product management are then taught in details together with team project practices: 1. opportunity identification and selection, 2. concept generation, 3. concept/project evaluation, 4. development, and 5. launch.

本課程的第一部分介紹專案和產品管理的概念、技術、理論和應用。 包括組織行為問題和定量方法。 本課程講授專案管理的三個重要面向:1.整個專案生命週期的專案管理所需的基本核心知識;2.整個專案生命週期的支援功能;3.專案管理的硬核。專案生命週期的不同階段。
本課程的第二部分首先介紹產品管理在不同組織結構中的作用。 也簡要介紹了新產品管理和流程的策略要素。 然後,結合團隊專案實踐,詳細教授新產品管理的五個重要面向:1. 機會識別和選擇,2. 概念生成,3. 概念/專案評估,4. 開發,5. 發布。
